Experiences in Val di Fassa

At Malga Pié, a farmhouse stay in Val di Fassa, experiences are not just tourist activities. They are what happens every day on a real working farm, without filters, in close contact with the nature of the Dolomites: milking, haymaking, collecting eggs and tasting what has been produced.

Farm life and animals

Far from the hectic rhythm of the city, let yourself be surprised by the beauty of farm life. Through contact with animals and fields, slow down and discover up close the sense of balance of the rural world.

Haymaking

Haymaking

In summer, haymaking in Fuciade is one of the most physical and authentic experiences we offer. Fuciade is our family mountain pasture, which can be reached on foot or with authorised Malga Pié vehicles. There, you rake the hay, learn how the cycle of grass and pasture works, and understand why the meadows are mown with such care.

Milking

Milking

Evening milking takes place at 5:00 pm, and for special occasions it can be brought forward to 5:00 am. The cows each have their own personality, and the calves drink milk right beside you. A moment that brings you truly close to the origin of what you find on your plate.

Egg collection

Egg collection

The hens at Malga Pié live outdoors and lay eggs every day. Collecting them together is one of the simplest yet most satisfying activities. The next day, you can enjoy them at breakfast, lunch, or dinner in one of our recipes.

Vegetable garden harvest

Vegetable garden harvest

The Malga Piè vegetable garden is grown without fungicides or herbicides. Harvesting vegetables means understanding why some produce from the mountain farm looks less “perfect” than what you find in large-scale retail—and why it tastes completely different. It is a slow, educational activity, ideal for those who want to see the supply chain up close before sitting down at the table.

Tastings

Tastings at Malga Piè are a sensory journey through flavours and their stories. We explain where a cheese comes from, what milk makes it unique, and why a wine pairs so well with a certain taste. A food and wine experience for both guests and passing visitors.

Wine and cheese

Wine and cheese

A selection of cheeses from our farm (Puzzone, Trentingrana, aged cheeses), paired with Trentino wines chosen from producers we know personally. Each pairing is explained: ageing, production method, and the winery it comes from. A true moment of discovery.

Wine cellar visits

Wine cellar visits

The Malga Pié wine cellar houses wines from the Trentino producers we work with. During the guided visit, we will take you through how we choose our labels, which grape varieties we know closely and how the local territory is expressed in the glass. For an even deeper experience, we can also organise visits directly to the producers’ wineries.

Aperitif

Aperitif

The Malga Pié aperitif is much more than a moment of relaxation. It is a guided tasting experience to discover every flavour on the plate: from cured meats to cheeses and vegetables preserved in oil. We tell you where they come from, who produces them and why they taste so authentic. A simple way to get closer to the farming world.

Extra dish in the kitchen

Extra dish in the kitchen

If you would like to go beyond the menu in your food and wine discovery, you can also request an extra Trentino dish, depending on the season and the ingredients available that day. An additional course that becomes an opportunity to experience the cuisine of the Dolomites up close.

Experiences for families

If you are on holiday in Val di Fassa with your family, at Malga Pié children can meet the farm animals up close. Cows, calves, hens, ponies and horses turn every day into a moment of outdoor discovery.

Horse-drawn sleigh ride

Horse-drawn sleigh ride

A horse-drawn sleigh ride with the Malga Pié horses is one of the most beloved winter experiences. It starts from the farmhouse and crosses the snowy landscape around Soraga. What makes it even more special are our own horses, which you can meet up close before departure.

Educational farm

Educational farm

The educational farm brings together all animal-related experiences in a single path designed for children. You visit the stable, the henhouse, and the vegetable garden. You touch, collect, and learn. An educational experience that doesn’t feel like a lesson.

Pony rides

Pony rides

The ponies at Malga Pié are used to being around children. The ride is short, guided and safe. For many children, it is their first real contact with a horse: not an image on a screen, not a toy. Something big, warm, alive, breathing.
Something you'll remember.

Horse approach experience

Horse approach experience

Not everyone wants to ride a horse. Sometimes, simply watching, touching and feeding is enough. Getting close to a horse is a slow, guided experience: you learn how to behave around a horse, how to make it feel calm, and how to communicate without words.
